RENATE ALLER, SOHO NYC

Next up in our NY tribe series is artist and photographer Renate Aller.
I have been a big fan of her work way before we met.
Her nature compositions are beautiful combinations of light and texture that become abstract the longer you look at them. They have something very calming.
It is my dream to one day own one of her large-scale seascapes.

Renate welcomed the slower pace of Covid life by calling it her "artist residence program” in her own New York studio.
She worked on a book and exhibitions: "The Space Between Memory and Expectation", an extension of her solo exhibition at the Parrish Art Museum.
She also started a project called "Side Walk 6' apart in NYC " by inviting friends and neighbors to meet on the sidewalk during the time when NYC was the epicenter of the pandemic.
The New-York Historical Society Museum acquired the 32 prints and will be hosting an exhibition accompanied by a book when life resumes.

• Her favorite color is Yves Klein Blue! Serendipity!
• She would like to revisit herself when she was in her 30’s and give herself a hug.
• She was afraid to succeed as she didn’t know what comes after.
• Nothing makes her as happy as a good idea and remembering it the next day.
I can relate to all of the above.
