On the occasion of Milan Art and Salone Week, we collaborated with Simone Shubuck, renowned New York based multi-media artist, to create eleven one-of-a-kind hand-painted bags.

Each bag has been adorned by Shubuck, who painted directly onto the leather, treating each bag as a sculptural object, and animating the bag with her signature graphic elements, floral motifs and facial features.

Each bag is accompanied by a numbered and signed certificate by the artist.

All collaboration bags will be shipped on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 after our Salone di Mobile exhibition in Milan.

The Parker Horizon is the horizontal version of our famous Parker book bag. It can be worn on the shoulder, carried as a top-handle bag or as a clutch. The strap length is adjustable. It features an outside pocket in our signature frame construction with single latch closure. The front pocket is bigger than on our other Parker bags and has four instead of two leather slots to fit all your cards, cash and receipts. The main bag is lined in midnight ultrasuede and fits any cell phone, keys and more. It is closed by a leather covered magnetic closure. The stainless steel frame is 24k gold-plated. Our logo is embossed on the back.

Why do we call what we do ‘responsible’ and not ‘sustainable’?
Because we choose not to greenwash. A lot of other brands would call what we do sustainable. But we believe that producing things will inevitably leave a footprint and therefore is not sustainable. This is why we prefer to call what we do ‘responsible production’. To us, this feels more honest.

We put a lot of care into making informed choices. We strive to step lightly and pay attention to even the smallest steps in our production process. We embrace the ongoing learning this commitment requires. We believe quality and integrity must go hand in hand throughout the design and production process. To us, this brings heart and soul to everything we do.

Giving back has always been important to Tina and when she started Lutz Morris she saw a clear path to contributing to EMC.
To do this, Tina chose to be concrete and transparent and donate a flat $10 from every bag sold instead of donating an obscure percentage of proceeds.

$10 might not sound like a lot, but for some bags this amounts to as much as 10% of the proceeds.
