Donald and I met each over 20 years ago at a dinner in Paris. He was then the Creative Director for French Vogue, a title he held for 9 years, collaborating closely with many of the best photographers, stylists, artists and fashion designers.
In 2002 he founded Donald Schneider Studio becoming the No.1 matchmaker when it comes to fashion collaborations.
He had the groundbreaking idea for H&M to collaborate with famous designers.
This was not done at the time and it was no other than Karl Lagerfeld who started this ongoing marriage between luxury and mass fashion, breaking down barriers between these two worlds.
This started Donald's close ongoing relationship with H&M and collaborations with Marni, Isabel Marant, Versace, Maison Martin Margiela, Balmain, Kenzo, Giambattista Valli, Alexander Wang, Erdem and many more...
Besides H&M he creates many more 'marriages’ between brands and personalities such as Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, Diane Kruger, David Beckham, Jeff Koons, Sofia Coppola, Baz Luhrmann, Caro Daur - the list is long.
This year his creative agency Donald Schneider Studio is turning 20. Time to celebrate Donald! (hint, hint)
